Medical Editors

The Opportunity
Reporting to the supervisor of Editors and MTs, the Production Editor will be expected to return work that is in compliance with the company's quality policy. The Production Editor is also expected to comply with all templates and formats, and use all technology and other business tools as set out in company procedures.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Review voice files to compare those files with text files, and proper correction and editing of the text files where there are errors, blanks, and omissions in the text.
  • Tracking all files routed for transcription, editing, or other review.
  • Reporting to the Supervisor on the timeliness and quality of work received from the transcriptionist.
  • Quality control reports as required.
  • Comply with all templates and formats, and use all technology and other business tools as set out in company procedures.
Requirements
  • Return work at a minimum of 98% accuracy.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of medical terminology and basic understanding of anatomy and physiology, disease process, and medications.
  • Familiarity with available reference books ability to use them effectively.
  • Must be proactive, innovative, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Certificate in Medical Transcription.
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in the medical transcription industry.
The candidate should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years as a medical editor in a hospital setting, thorough knowledge of medical terminology, acute care (covering all specialties), superior spelling and grammar skills, and working knowledge of MS Office. DSL or cable modem is required as well as Microsoft Word XP or 2000.



Medical Transcriptionist

The Opportunity
Reporting to supervisor of Editors and MTs, the medical transcriptionist will be expected to return work that is in compliance with the company's quality policy.   • Transcribe assigned voice files from specific accounts.
  • Maintain company quality and turnaround time guidelines as well as client specifics.
  • Tracking all files routed for transcription.
  • Available to handle special circumstances, such as transcribing stat reports.
  • Checking the server/MT website for assigned work and know when all assignments have been completed.
  • Comply with all templates and formats, and use all technology and other business tools as set out in company procedures.

Project Manager

The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Director of Client Implementations, manages the project timeline and processes from the time Sales provides the Transcription Analysis through the go-live of the project.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain project plan to make sure all tasks are assigned and timelines are being met by responsible party.
  • Maintain contact with client through weekly calls to discuss items of action and their status.
  • Provide all startup information to Operations and Implementations, and all team members designated for global group setup.
  • Work directly with Implementation Support to verify template creation, info doc creation and testing environment.
  • Ensure sign offs are obtained at each phase of the project task completion.
  • Manage client expectations.
  • On-site for training of physicians and staff on all applicable CBay products.
  • Special projects as assigned by management.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions.

Requirements

This detailed individual must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of work experience. Experience related to Microsoft Project, Visio, Word, Excel is a must. Understanding of Olympus DVR, Dictaphone, Lanier, DVI equipment is helpful. Must be extremely organized and possess good analytical skills. Proficient in spreadsheet preparation and analysis, and the ability to effectively handle multiple projects concurrently required.
